This is a rich-in-adventure 3-weeks trip to explore wide region of the Central America - to travel the jungles, to learn the heritage of Mayan civilization and the local life-style, while spending your time in nature hikes and excursions to ancient cities.
The adventure will start form Calcun, by a guided tour of Chichén Itzá ruins and an orientation walk around Mérida. Take an option to visit ruins of Uxmal or swim in three nearby underground pools. Then have a guided tour of Mayan ruins of Palenque and an optional jungle hike. Visit the Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls and take an orientation walk around San Cristóbal de las Casas - cute town with beautiful churches, palaces and museums. Enjoy an option to visit nearby Mayan villages to see unique day-to-day life or journey to beautiful Sumidero Canyon for a relaxing boat trip. Take a boat tour around the Lake Atitlán to the local indigenous villages and have traditional lunch in the Mayan community in Panajachel. You can also go paragliding or visiting the Chichicastenango Sunday market. Have an orientation walk around Antigua on the next day, take salsa dancing classes or relax with a massage there. Change the city environment and continue with exploration of Mayan ruins in Tikal. Enjoy an option to visit sacred Mayan cave Actun Tunichil Muknal, explore the Mountain Pine Ridge area or see the little visited Mayan ruins of Xunantunich in San Ignacio. Go optional snorkelling with stingrays and nurse sharks at Hol Chan Marine Reserve in Caye Caulker. On the closing part of the tour you will go to Playa del Carmen to have an option to visit the Mayan city ruins of Tulúm or the diving mecca of Cozumel.
