Arrive into Zürich airport and take the train directly from the airport to the heart of Bern. Explore the old town on foot or by public transport with the included Bern Ticket allowing free travel on Bern’s urban transport system. On the next day take a guided city tour and explore the historic centre of Bern. It is a truly unique place for Bern’s three Christmas markets. Stop at one of the small street cafes or vaulted cellars full of locals for lunch. A six kilometres of medieval arcades housing shops and restaurants, complement the Christmas atmosphere. Watch the hourly performance of the historic Clock Tower in the middle of town and do some last minute Christmas shopping. Optionally Head to the impressive Kirchenfeldbrücke with great views of the city and the Aare River, visit to the Einstein Museum or the Famous Bear Park.
