Vancouver (2 nights) – Seattle (1 night) – Mt. Rainier – Portland (1 night) – Newport – Coos Bay (1 night) – Redwood National Park – Eureka (1 night) – Sonoma / Napa (1 night) – San Francisco (1 night)
This tour was designed for you to explore the Western coast and some of the so-called “Wild West”. Upon arrival to Vancouver have an independent transfer to the hotel and meet the tour director to make plans for the next day. A full day at leisure provides ample time to take in Vancouver’s sights. We recommend you to go to Victoria Island or the Little England which combines the opportunities of the new world and the charm of the one. On the third day journey cross the Canada/U.S. border and go to Seattle. The Downtown Seattle Waterfront is a great place to take in the views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. No visit of the city would be complete without strolling through the grounds at the Seattle Center and checking out the spectacular view from the Space Needle’s (184 m).
Depart Seattle for Portland – one of the world’s best walking cities. Then visit the Mount Rainier National Park and Mount St. Helens, both active volcanoes and part of the Northwest “ring of fire”. The next morning enjoy a scenic drive along Oregon’s coastline where spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding forest await. Travel south through Newport and the heart of the central coast to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Spend night in Coos Bay – a small town by the Pacific Ocean and continue travelling the coastline enjoying the scenery of endless beaches, crashing waves and beautiful lighthouses the next day. Visit to the Redwood National Park having nearly half of the remaining old growth redwoods – the worlds’ tallest trees. Travel to Eureka by evening – the historic landmark and an “open air museum” of Victorian architecture and spend night there.
Continue traveling south to the Northern California’s Wine Country with the Mediterranean climate that makes it ideal for grape growing conditions and makes this region world famous. Go on the next morning towards San Francisco, cross the Golden Gate Bridge, an engineering marvel and the symbol of the city. Enjoy evening in the city and spend one included night there. The tour director can make some suggestions for you to spend the remaining time in the city.
